AVIA 190- Senior Aviation Capstone Launches at SJSU

Congratulations to the graduating seniors of San José State University Aviation program! ✈️

On Friday, May 1, over 60 students presented their capstone projects at a culminating event for AVIA 190 — a newly launched Senior Capstone Seminar co-taught by two industry pilots dedicated to bridging the gap between academic preparation and professional life in aviation.

Throughout the course, students engaged in current industry analysis, career development, leadership training, and an aviation-related group project. The event brought it all together: teams presented their work, then rotated around the room to exchange questions and insights with their peers — a fitting send-off that mirrored the collaborative, dynamic nature of the industry they're entering.

Course development was supported by the SJSU Aviation Department, SJSU Career Center, Janene Perez, Bay Area K-16 Collaborative, Silicon Valley Leadership Group, and others. We're proud of everything these students have accomplished and excited to see where they take flight next. 🛫
