STARS Program

Community college students from around the Bay Area completed their summer research internships at SFSU School of Engineering. This brand new Bay Area K-16 Collaborative initiative, called SF State University Summer Training Academy for Research Scholars (STARS), supported students conducting hands-on research on topics ranging from sustainable energy systems to personalized health and assistive technology, to name a few.

Backbone organization Social Policy Research Associates spent the day with involved students and faculty today, hearing first-hand from participants about their experiences. Look out for an Impact Insight later this year highlighting lessons learned and key takeaways.
